Volunteers of America–Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program

Funded by the Department of Veteran Affairs and managed by Volunteers of America, the SSVF Program seeks to prevent veterans and their families from becoming homeless and to rapidly rehouse those who have lost their homes. To be eligible, you must be a veteran (defined as having served at least one day of active service, which can include basic training) in any branch of the service, must not have a dishonorable discharge, and must be below 50% of the average median income for the county in which you reside. You must also be either literally homeless or at imminent risk of losing your housing. Offices are in Alamosa, Denver, Durango, Fort Collins, Grand Junction, Greeley, and Pueblo.
